A new fleet of CFA’s fire safety education mobile trucks have been launched in Kangaroo flat yesterday.

Chief officer at the fire authority Jason Heffernan joined the Kangaroo Flat fire brigade at Lansell Square.
He told Gold that although the five vehicles are based across regional Victoria, they can move around as needed.

“The reason why it is so important is because it now brings expertise on how to prepare for bushfires and grassfires and emergencies into the community,” he said.
Community donations during the 2019/2020 Black Summer bushfires were used to fund the vehicles.
