Central Victorian locals who have stories on the failed Robodebt system are being asked to come forward and share their personal stories.

A Royal Commission has been launched into the failed scheme, with just two weeks left until submissions close.
From 2015 to 2020, the scheme incorrectly recovered more than $750 million from more than 380,000 Australians.

Locally, it’s unclear how many people have been impacted by the scheme.
However, federal member Lisa Chesters previously told the Bendigo Advertiser that many residents on welfare had contacted her office claiming to be victims of the failed scheme.
The Commission has so far received 522 submissions.
