Australia’s largest crowd-sourcing bike safety project, BikeSpot, allows locals to identify locations where they feel safe, or unsafe while riding their bike.
The national launch of the interactive cycling safety map follows Bendigo Triathlon Club President, Gavin Hicks, putting forward a petition with over 100 signatures, at the City of Greater Bendigo council meeting, for safer conditions for cyclists around Bendigo.
Anthony Aisenberg from CrowdSpot says the project will help provide better information to authorities about where safety improvements can be made.

Dan Kneipp from the Amy Gillett Foundation says the aim is to help drive safety improvements on local roads.
