Three teenaged boys from Bendigo – two of then just 13-years-old – are facing serious charges after a collision involving an allegedly stolen car in Melbourne’s east.
Police allege the trio were with two other people in a Toyota Camry when it collided with another vehicle at Warranwood on Friday morning.
It’s alleged the males occupants fled the scene, leaving a 15-year-old critically injured girl trapped in the wreckage.
She was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The boys were arrested several hours later.
A 17-year-old from Flora Hill is facing a raft of charges including dangerous driving causing serious injury, theft of a motor vehicle, intentionally causing injury, attempted theft of a motor vehicle, assault with a weapon and failing to assist at an accident.
A 16-year-old Mooroolbark boy is charged with theft of a motor vehicle and failing to assist at an accident.
Two 13-year-old boys, from Epsom and Flora Hill, were released pending summons.
Police allege the Toyota Camry was stolen from an address at Flora Hill last Wednesday.
