After dominating the court over the season, Bendigo Spirit have been crowned as WNBL champions for the third time.
On Sunday afternoon, the team’s winning streak continued where it needed to most, with a 63-to-55-point win against Townsville at the city’s entertainment centre.
MVP of the league Sami Whitcomb also took out the Rachael Sporn grand final MVP award.

Sami was also best-on-ground, with 26 points scored during the game.
Bendigo’s title comes after almost a decade out of the post-season.
