Ballarat’s Mayor is calling on local men to do and be better following a spate of murders in the city.
Rebecca Young, Samantha Murphy, and most recently Hannah McGuire are all victims of gendered violence.

Tourism Midwest Victoria and Grampians Tourism say that local economies and industries also feel the impact of the rise in negative stories connected to Ballarat.
Chair of the Tourism Midwest Victoria, John Pandazopoulos, says overnight bookings in the region were down during February and March on average by nearly 20 percent.
