The new Bendigo Health Clinical Services Campus now fully operational, giving residents from Bendigo and surrounds can access a range of comprehensive medical services under one roof.

The $63.5 million state-of-the-art facility – previously known as the Bendigo Day Rehabilitation Centre – will provide patients from across the region with access to a team of dedicated health professionals.

With all services now under one roof, allied health professionals will also benefit from working closely together, improving health outcomes for their patients, and preventing future hospital re-admissions.

Member for Bendigo East and Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan says the facility has grown and improved over many decades.

The newly opened hydrotherapy pool is the centrepiece of the facility, also delivering specialist clinics including outpatient rehabilitation, allied health, dental, mental health, renal dialysis, breast screening and diabetes education services.

The project has allowed Bendigo Health to better utilise campus facilities resulting in more efficient operations.

Delivered by the Victorian Health Building Authority, in partnership with Bendigo Health and building contractor ADCO Group, the project created around 180 jobs during the peak of construction.

Now that services are fully operational, construction crews will demolish the hospital’s ageing East and North Wing tower buildings to provide a new green open space for patients, visitors and staff to enjoy.

It also marks a significant milestone in the State Government’s investment in Bendigo’s health precinct, building on the $630 million redeveloped Bendigo Hospital.
