Although the odds are stacked against the Bendigo Spirit to make finals, a jam-packed schedule is lined up for their last home game of the regular season this Wednesday night.

The local WNBL club will reveal a new sponsor, host the 2013 championship team and play the in-form, top-of-the-table Townsville Fire.

“Certainly trying to finish the season the best way you possibly can is always finishing with a win,” he said.
He added that obviously last weekend’s loss to Perth Lynx was an “emotional” one and now they have to beat Townsville if their any chance of making the play offs.
“The other thing that would have to fall into place is actually Perth would have to lose two games,” he said.

The Spirit started the season on top of the WNBL table with 8 wins on the trot, however they have lost their last 5 matches and slipped outside the top four.
