New research reveals many young Aussies are choosing to deal with mental health challenges on their own with stigma still a key barrier for those in regional communities.
The national survey found 2 in 5 young people prefer to deal with emotional problems on their own with 39% saying they were worried about what others might think of them for seeking help.
However, the CEO of Headspace, Jason Trethowan, says young people in the regions don’t have to go it alone and there is support available.
