The cancelled 2026 Commonwealth Games are back! The Commonwealth Games Federation is due to announce the new host city next month.
The announcement follows the withdrawal of Singapore, Victoria, Gold Coast, and now Malaysia, who were reportedly offered $200 million to hold the event.
Originally the games were due to be hosted across regional Victorian cities including Geelong, Bendigo, and Ballarat.

The total loss was over $589 million with the expected cost of $6.9 billion to host the Games in regions, like Bendigo, overstated.
