Duo Charged After Alleged Damage Spree Across Bendigo

A man and a woman have been charged after an alleged damage spree across Bendigo this month.

Police allege the duo caused damage at multiple locations on May 5th.

This included multiple statues and paintings at a Bridge Street Museum, a Holdsworth Road cemetery, a Short Street cathedral, a temple on Sandhurst Town Road, an RSL soldier memorial on Pall Mall and at the Botanical Gardens on Napier Street.

A 43-year-old and a 44-year-old from Seabrook were charged with seven counts of criminal damage.

They were bailed to appear before the Bendigo Magistrates Court on August 23rd.
