Fresh data from MCG Quantity Surveyors is giving residents an insight into the local housing market.
Revealing that Greater Bendigo’s most expensive suburb to rent in is Maiden Gully with the average resident forking out $550 each week. Strathfieldsaye is a close second at $530 per week.
2023 was a big year of growth for Greater Bendigo – topping the list of regional town growth – with four new townships. Kyabram from Campaspe led the regional growth with a 19% annual median house price increase to $475,000.

Rental homes in Castlemaine are the most likely in Central Victoria to be vacant with 4.7% of houses in Castlemaine being left quiet. The average house currently rents for $450 per week.
