New data has revealed crime in Greater Bendigo has risen dramatically over the past year.
Latest figures from the Crime Statistics Agency show crime in the Greater Bendigo region is up 19.2 per cent to the year ending December 2024, compared to the same time the year prior.
Theft from retail stores and motor vehicles, along with breaches of family violence orders remain the most common crimes in the region.

The suburbs of Bendigo, Kangaroo Flat and Golden Square remain the city’s top crime hotspots.
