Missing $100,000 Classic Car Found

The classic car – sitting at $100,000 market value – stolen from a Cohuna workshop has been found!

Local officers driving the Police van spotted a car trailer with stolen number plates ‘driving suspiciously’ at around five yesterday morning. They pulled over the driver along Dobinson Street in Echuca.

A further search revealed the stolen sky-blue Holden HX Monaro GTS with its distinctive black strip on the bonnet and gold wheels hidden under the tarp.

Police have been searching for the car since it went missing on the 20th of July from the Gibbins Drive property at about 1:30 am – according to police. It was later seen in Kyabram about midday, heading towards Merrigum.

Police asked the public to keep an eye out for the iconic car with over 44.5 thousand people viewing the call for help.

A driver was charged and will appear at the Echuca Magistrates Court at a later date.
