Queensland is reportedly looking into ditching its Olympic hosting job following Regional Victoria’s cancellation of the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
The State Government has denied the claims.
According to Nine, officials were weighing up their options around the 2032 Games, amid soaring costs.

Similar to Ex-Premier Dan Andrew’s reasons behind canceling the event due to be hosted across regional cities including Bendigo, Geelong, and Ballarat.
Organisers had originally estimated the event would cost $2.8bn but when costs soared to about $6 billion, the state canceled its plans.
