Police Urge Locals to Keep an Eye Out for Each Other After Crash

After part of the Calder Highway was shut off after a fatal crash last weekend, Bendigo police are urging local road users to keep an eye out for each other.

So far this year there has been 159 lives lost on Victorian roads.

Acting Inspector Damien Keegan tells Robbo on The Wake-Up Call that small checks and changes to behaviour can make all the difference.

“Just doing those one percenters, we can make sure we’re safe,” he said.

“Check your tyres just to make sure there’s enough tread there. Put your headlights on and while you’ve got them on also check to make sure they’re actually working,” he said.
