Bendigo could see thousands of new homes built in the city by 2051, if new State Government targets are met.
The final council housing capacity targets were released by the State Government yesterday, as it aims to deliver 2.24 million new homes around Victoria by 2051.
Greater Bendigo’s target of 37,000 new homes by 2051 includes a sub target of 11,000 for developments on greenfield land.

The Government says if councils don’t start planning works now to meet these targets, they will intervene.
