A stolen Suzuki Swift made its way around Regional Victoria after it was taken during an aggravated burglary in Rochester.
The residents were asleep when the offenders took the car from the Baynes Road home overnight on 18 June.
The black 2023 Suzuki was seen later in the morning at a service station on the Murray Valley Highway in Echuca. A man got out of the passenger seat, filled the car with fuel and drove off without paying.
The following day, the Suzuki was spotted driving on Kooringal Road in Upwey.
Police found the ditched Suzuki on Forest Park Road in Upwey later that morning.
Campaspe Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for information from the public and have released images and CCTV footage to help with the search.
The man police are searching for is perceived to be Caucasian, in his early 20s, with a slim build and blonde hair.
He was wearing a black puffer jacket, black pants, black shoes, and sunglasses on his head.
