The Victorian Fishing Authority is working to restore native stocks to the waterways following last year’s floods.
The 6 free events will educate local anglers on how to best preserve waterways. The ‘Fish Talks’ will start in Echuca on Thursday and visit several different locations including Bendigo in the new year.
Travis Dowling from the Victorian Fishing Authorities says one of the biggest talking points will be about keeping cattle away from river banks.

Dowling says that keeping cattle off habitat will provide somewhere for the hatchlings to hide.
Dowling says there will be a big focus on waterway restoration following last year’s floods.
