Girton Grammars students will be on the forefront of 21st century learning when they begin using virtual reality to solve problems and critically think.
The Lumination Learning Lab, which is an automated, multi-purpose and immersive smart classroom, will be rolled out at the school from term 3.
Girton principal, Dr Emma O’Rielly, said their school is the first in Victoria to use a Lumination Lab.
“The decision to build this virtual learning space represents a major step forward in ensuring our students are prepared with the necessary skills for success in a rapidly evolving world,” Dr O’Rielly said.
Lumination’s learning sign lead, Shai Coggins, said the lab is hoped to build skills for the current and future workforces.
“By immersing these students in real-world scenarios directly connected to the curriculum, their engagement increases,” she said.
