A woman in her 80’s has been the victim of a terrifying dog attack in Daisy Hill, near Maryborough, yesterday afternoon.

The incident happened shortly before 1pm, with the woman suffering extensive injuries to her upper body in the attack.
Ambulance Victoria confirming she was flown to the Alfred Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Central Goldfields Shire manager of statutory services Amy Boyd said the Daisy Hill incident had not been reported to council.
“Council officers are making enquiries within the local community to obtain details on the matter,” she said.
“Attacks after hours and on weekends can still be reported via the after hours service on 0407 508 448. Council officers will respond as a matter of priority and action can include containment of the animal, seizing the animal involved and interviewing of witnesses.”
