Rebecca Young, Samantha Murphy, and most recently Hannah McGuire have all been victims of gender-based violence in Regional Victoria this year.

Even closer to home, at the end of last year, Analyn Lee Osias was found dead in her home on High Street, in Kangaroo Flat with two children of her four children home but uninjured.

So far in 2024, 18 women have been allegedly killed in violent attacks.

Premier Jacinta Allan says everyone has a role to play in halting this cycle of violence.

Tonight in Ballarat, the community is gathering for a march, calling for an end to violence against women and in solidarity for the three recently murdered Ballarat women.

It starts at 5.30pm at the Ballarat train station and will weave its way to Alfred Deakin Place in Camp Street.
