Central Victoria continues to have just 2 active cases of coronavirus.
The low numbers have contributed to regional Victoria taking a 3rd step away from lock down at 11.59 tonight.
In the other major regional centres Greater Geelong has 4 cases, down 2 in the last 24 hours, whilst Ballarat remains virus free.
The Colac Otway Shire, the site of a recent cluster, has reduced to 22 active infections.
Meantime, Central Victorian hospitality businesses have welcomed yesterday's news of a re-opening across the regions.
In a surprise move cafes and restaurants will be able to have some indoor dining but the bulk of tables will have to be in outside areas.
Regional Victorians will also be able to travel around the state and stay in hotels and motels from tomorrow, excluding metro Melbourne.
