The Bendigo Chamber of Commerce, Be.Bendigo, yesterday launched a new mentoring program for at-risk youth.
The program, called GROW, will see businesses leaders from ANZ, Bendigo Bank, Bendigo Telco and Coliban Water share vital skills with young people.
GROW project manager Petra McLoughlin said mentors have been chosen based on their previous work and life experience.
“Providing youth with access to a more mature mentor who has already navigated that transition, will help them separate their fears from reality and take a positive step forward,” she said.
An official launch will kick off at the Emporium Creative Hub this morning at 10.30am.
