Helen Yorston, Manager for Bendigo Volunteer Resource Centre joins Daniel on The Home Stretch every week to talk about upcoming volunteer opportunities around Bendigo.

Baptcare Home-Start program

Volunteers are needed to support the Homestart Program which matches volunteers with parenting experience with families needing a little extra help to raise pre-school aged children. Training is provided and volunteering contribution is about 2 hours per week.

Easter in Bendigo:

The City of Greater Bendigo is hosting the 2021 Eggs-plore Bendigo at Easter program offering various activities over a number of locations throughout the city.

Many of the scheduled activities require volunteers to support the delivery of the program, and will provide a fun, interactive, rewarding experience for all involved.

MS OPSHOP – Strath Village

Volunteer interested in vintage or Retail shopping are invited to register their interest in volunteering at the MS Op Shop in Strath Village. Customer services and basic computer skills desirable, previous experience in fashion or display would be advantageous. This role does involve standing during the 4–5-hour shifts, Monday – Saturday.

Craft, Cook & Meal planner – Cuppa with Company -Community Lunch:

The Community Lunch is a social inclusion program which provides a free lunch and activities every Thursday at Uniting Church Hall, Forest Street, Bendigo.

Duties can include set up of art & craft activities, facilitating games activities, assisting with food preparation, service and clearing items away after the event.

Lifeline Central Victoria & Mallee

Are looking for Volunteers with excellent personable & listening skills to support vulnerable people in our community. Training provided (6 months).
